DocShifter 1.0 is born in 2006
It all started as a requirement by the Belgian government to convert all incoming email and attachments to a standard format. That was the spark that got us thinking. And developing. DocShifter 1.0 was born.
And for the next 10 years, our software gradually grew in functionality, driven by the company where it all started, Docbyte. New customers joined, mainly in the finance and insurance sectors, and the solution strengthened and became a conversion force to be reckoned with in Belgium. Now, Belgium is not all that large.
DocShifter becomes a fully independent company in 2014
Driven by the requirements of one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, DocShifter grows into a conversion software that meets the needs of a highly regulated industry, Life Sciences.
Over the course of the next years, more pharmaceutical companies join the family. Both large and small. This does not go unnoticed in other sectors. While this industry focus remains, it is clear that the demanding needs of Life Sciences serve as the perfect standard for other regulated sectors like banking, insurance and public sector.
DocShifter grows internationally, and is proud to serve customers from Europe, the USA, Australia, and Japan. All from our lovely home base in Ghent.
